SRB5 | Working with Communities

A key aspect of the SRB5 Participation Programme is the way the consultation was lead by agencies with a link to specific communities. Different agencies worked with different communities of interest and in neighbourhoods across Brighton & hove, using their expertise and experience to identify appropriate methods for consulting with different individuals.

The communities of interest that were targeted:

Black & Minority Ethnic People I Homeless & Inadequately Housed People | People with Learning Difficulties I Young People I People with HIV & AIDS | People with Mental Health Problems I People who are Substance Misusers I People with Physical Disability & Sensory Impairment I Gay, Lesbian, Bisexual & Transgender People I Older People I Women

And the neighborhoods:

Kingswood & Milner | South Portslade | Hollingbury | Woodingdean | Coldean | Regency | Poets corner/Clarendon Estate | Queens Park/Craven Vale | Hollingdean | Bevendean

Issues specific to each community

Each community of interest and neighborhood produced specific results relating to that community, whcih are examined in the Specific Issues Report.
